Tasty, the restaurant operator behind the Dim T and Wildwood chains, moved into profit in the half year to June 27 and said that trading is in line with expectations. It posted a pre-tax profit of £13,000 for the period, against a loss of £49,000 over the same period the previous year, as turnover climbed to £4.83m from £4.33m.During the period Tasty closed down one of its oriental-themed Dim T outlets, in Milton Keynes, and turned another, in Gloucester Road, London, into a Wildwood. It has also acquired a restaurant in Chelmsford which will become a Wildwood. Once this is up and running Tasty will have six Dim Ts and five Wildwoods.Tasty's positive update comes the day after another owner of a small chain of restaurants, Piccilino owner Individual Restaurant, reported a fall in revenues and said it is 'looking at all options.' However on the same day Richoux, the owner of Richoux, Zippers and Frankie's Easy Diner, like Tasty reported a move into profits.
