AIM-listed Nature Group, a waste treatment solution provider to the oil, marine and process industries, has said its its subsidiary in Gibraltar, Nature Port Reception Facilities (NPRF), was granted planning permission to re-build its waste oil reception facility at the North Mole. Permission was granted by the Development & Planning Commission (DPC) of the government of Gibraltar following months of constructive discussions, an environmental impact assessment and extensive evaluation of the engineered design for the rebuild of the facility storage tanks, which will be in compliance with the latest European and local legislation. The reconstruction is expected to take up to 12 months, after which the new facility will be able to store waste oil products, thereby reducing current logistical challenges. Nature's Chief Executive, Andreas Drenthen, said: "We are very pleased to have been granted permission by the DPC to rebuild our storage facility at the North Mole. "Through our investment in the new facility we will be able to further improve the services to vessels calling at the Port of Gibraltar. Gibraltar forms an important part of Nature's Maritime division and is an integral part of our strategy to build a worldwide network of port reception facilities."NR
