A consortium in which United Utilities has a 40% stake has won a new capital delivery contract with Southern Water worth £225m.The 4D consortium, who'll start work straight away, will manage the design and build of a new wastewater treatment works in the Brighton and Hove area.Construction is expected to take about three years, followed by the potential for a two year contract to operate and maintain the new plant."This new contract consolidates our position as the leading utility infrastructure outsourcing company in the UK, delivering further growth through applying our core skills on an asset-light basis," said United Utilities boss Philip Green.
