The Real Good Food Company said its sugar specialist Napier Brown had won major new supply contracts from grocer Asda and wholesaler Booker for its Whitworths sugars range.The deals will double the retail value of Whitworths sugar sales and create about 80 new jobs at Napier Brown's headquarters in West Yorkshire. The new contracts, which start later this month, will include the supply of a range of more than 60 product lines including the Whitworths everyday and specialist ranges, "Whitworths for Baking", as well as a number of new product lines targeting specific consumer needs.It comes after the relaunch of the Whitworths sugar brand last year and the introduction of the "Whitworths for Baking" range last summer. The Real Good Food Company said construction was also nearing completion of Napier Brown's "sugar hub" - a £3.5m development in new sugar handling facilities at Immingham on Humberside.Shares in the Real Good Food Company were up 4.85% at 54p at 10:49 on Thursday.TB
