FTSE 250 Movers: Supergroup shines ahead of tomorrow's update

Fashion firm Supergroup was top of the leaderboard after investors stocked up on shares ahead of Wednesday's trading update for the second quarter, promoting speculation that the statement will spell good news for shareholders. Also heading higher is Lamprell, a specialist engineering firm serving the oil and gas industry, has been awarded a new contract from Jindal Pipes, based in Singapore.The contract is for the construction and delivery of a completely outfitted and equipped self-elevating Mobile Offshore Drilling Platform. Meanwhile, despite reporting that visitor levels to site continue to be encouraging, Persimmon, the UK's largest house builder saw its shares take a dip. Homeserve continues to head lower on worries over a mis-selling investigation. Reports claim that the firm ignored 48,000 customer complaints, sending the stock to a two-year low.
