Antrim Energy: potential hydrocarbon leak on Cormorant Alpha platform

Antrim Energy has announced that the export infrastructure system used by the Causeway Field and Cormorant East Field in the UK Northern North Sea is currently unavailable due to a potential hydrocarbon leak on the Cormorant Alpha platform. All production and associated pipeline infrastructure associated with the Cormorant Alpha platform have subsequently been shut-in, including Causeway and Cormorant East.The company stated that production from both the Causeway and Cormorant East fields was processed at the North Cormorant platform operated by TAQA Bratani Limited before being exported to the Cormorant Alpha platform. Multiple platforms impacted Besides the Causeway and Cormorant East Fields, the company stated that shutdown had affected a number of other platforms and over 20 other fields in the UK Northern North Sea.
