easyGroup Holdings Ltd submits application to ICANN for the .easy top-level domain as part of the New gTLD Program 2026 Round

easyGroup Ltd, the creator and owner of the easy family of brands (see www.easy.com and www.easyHistory.info), today announced that it has submitted an application to ICANN for the .easy top-level domain (TLD) as part of the New gTLD Program 2026 Round.

easyGroup Ltd is the private investment vehicle of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou (see www.stelios.org), who started the easy family of brands in 1994 with easyJet.com and, over the last 32 years, has developed the easy family into one of the most recognisable value brands in the world.

The application reflects easyGroup's continuing focus on protecting, strengthening and evolving the easy brand across digital channels. When delegated, .easy would provide easyGroup with a distinctive and trusted digital platform for eligible easy-branded businesses, services, campaigns and customer experiences.

easyGroup intends to operate .easy as a controlled dotBrand namespace. Domain names would be allocated in accordance with policies designed to protect the integrity, reputation and consumer trust associated with the easy brand.

Only businesses operating under licence from easyGroup Ltd would be able to use one of the .easy domains.

Potential uses could include intuitive, brand-led URLs such as:

· easy.easy

which would host the definitive long list of legitimate members of the easy family of brands.

Further examples below:

· easyGroup.easy

· easyJet.easy

· easyHotel.easy

The .easy dotBrand would support a consistent approach to digital identity across easyGroup's portfolio of about 6,000 domains, while complementing existing websites and domain-name holdings. It would also strengthen the Group's ability to manage official online touchpoints, introduce new services and support customer confidence in authentic easy-branded communications.

The working assumption for now is that members of the easy family will continue to use and invest in their current domains, e.g. easyJet.com, and that easy.easy will provide a landing page with the ability to click through to the operating sites.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder and owner of easyGroup, said: "The great advantage of .easy is that only businesses operating under licence from easyGroup will be able to use it. After 32 years of building and protecting the easy family of brands, this will give consumers a simple and definitive way of knowing which businesses are genuinely part of the easy family.

"We now have a portfolio of around 6,000 domain names, but .easy has the potential to give the whole family a single, trusted home on the internet. Our existing brands will continue to invest in their existing familiar domains such as easyJet.com, while .easy will provide a clear sign of authenticity across the family."
