Trendy clothing group SuperGroup, whose interim results are due, saw its breakneck growth speed up in the three months to the end of October.Total group sales in the period were up 68.4% to £57.5m from £34.1m a year earlier. That brought sales for the first six months of the group's financial year up to £90.3m, up 65.1% on the £54.7m achieved in the first half of last year.Group sales had risen by 59.8% in the fist quarter, so the second quarter performance represents an acceleration. Some pundits are suggesting that Supergroup is enjoying a spell in the sun of the kind witnessed by French Connection a few years back, and that the group will not be able to sustain the sort of growth rates shareholders have become used to.The group still has plenty of room for expansion, however, with just 56 standalone shops in the UK at the time of its last trading update in November. More branch openings before Christmas were pledged at the time of the November update, including including Superdry stores at the Trafford Centre in Manchester and Westfield Centre in London and a 15,000 sq ft Cult store at St Enoch's in Glasgow.A pre-close trading statement is due from aerospace group Senior. The company in October upped its profits expectations again and said it now expects to hit the top end of market forecasts this year, so it will be interesting to see if the bullish mood continues.
