(Sharecast News) - Luxury interior furnishings company Walker Greenbank announced on Thursday that its Scion brand has secured a licensing collaboration with high street stalwart Next, which would see Next create and sell an extensive range of homeware, nursery and fashion items.

It said that the range, set to launch in July, would be available both online and in selected Next stores.

Walker Greenbank described Scion as its "youthful and vibrant" brand, made up of "clean, Scandinavian-inspired" designs and animal characters.

It said the collaboration with Next would include cushions, curtains, rugs, wall art, lighting, bedlinen, nightwear and fashion accessories in four different design themes.

In addition, the range would include two nursery collections featuring Scion's 'Mr Fox' character, and the stylised bird 'Lintu'.

The collaboration was structured in part as a licensing deal, and in part as a wholesale supply agreement.

"We are delighted to be working with Next and to be collaborating on our shared vision for the homewares market," said chief executive officer Lisa Montague.

"Scion marks the first Walker Greenbank brand to jointly develop bespoke design solutions to appeal to Next consumers and we look forward to the commercial launch of the range in July this year."

At 1520 GMT, shares in Walker Greenbank were flat at 67p.
