Unilever to sell Italian business

Unilever, the household goods giant responsible for Pot Noodle and Lynx aftershave, confirmed that it is looking for a buyer for Findus, its Italian frozen foods business."As frozen foods is no longer a core product area for Unilever in Europe, we must reconsider its (Findus) future," said James Hill, chairman of Unilever Italy.Selling the business "would enable us to focus on our other categories, increasing investment in brands which will deliver higher levels of growth and shareholder value," he added.
