UK Oil & Gas appoints new chief operating officer

(ShareCast News) - Matt Cartwright has been appointed as UK Oil & Gas Investments' (UKOG) new chief operating officer, the group said on Friday.Cartwright, who has been working as a consultant to the company since July 2014 and has over 30 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry, will step in his new role with immediate effect, the London-listed company said."We are delighted to confirm Matt as our Chief Operating Officer," said group chief executive Stephen Sanderson."He has made an important contribution to the company's growth over the last year during an extremely active and exciting period for the company."With his breadth of experience and deep industry knowledge, he is a key addition to our management team as we continue to evaluate and develop our onshore portfolio in the south of England."UKOG shares were up 1.32% to 1.72p at 0937 BST on Friday.
