Tuesday preview: US factory activity, Euro area CPI in focus

(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus on Tuesday will be on survey results covering US factory sector activity during the month of August.

At 1400 BST the Institute for Supply Management will release its manufacturing sector Purchasing Managers Index which is expected to have remained steady at 53.3.

Earlier during the session, at 0900 BST Eurostat will publish preliminary euro area consumer price data for that same month.

These latest CPI numbers will arrive amid some expectations in financial markets for a further reduction in euro area interest rates.
