Soaring revenues drove profits higher at health and social care group System C Healthcare in the year ended 31 May.Revenue jumped 75% to £38.1m, up from £21.9m the previous year. This was driven primarily by recent product acquisitions, including the purchase of Liquidlogic, a provider of IT solutions to the social care market; and Conscia, a web solutions company specialising in web applications, e-commerce and mobile solutions.The supplier of health and social care solutions saw pre-tax profits rise to £5.4m, 32% higher than the prior year's figure of £4.1m. Earnings per share increased 9% to 4.7p (2009: 3.72p)."We have been working to a detailed strategy to broaden the capability of the Group through a long-term investment programme aimed at delivering sustained profitable growth," said Ian Denley, Chief Executive. "At the core of this strategy was the need to drive organic growth through the development of new products, enhanced by our services capability and capacity and supported by an on-going programme of acquisitions."
