Sports Direct to sell freehold of Shirebrook HQ

(Sharecast News) - Mike Ashley's Sports Direct confirmed on Tuesday that it has agreed to sell the freehold to its Shirebrook headquarters to Kwasa Logix Sportivo for just over £120m in cash.On completion, the company will take a 15-year lease of the property, which it plans to continue operating as a distribution centre, offices and retail.Sports Direct said it will use the proceeds from the sale for working capital and its group operations.Completion is expected to take place on or before 21 June.At 0812 BST, the shares were up 0.5% at 282.88p.
