Smiths Group finance director to step down next year

The finance director of Smiths Group has announced he will step down in six month's time in order to pursue opportunities outside the group.The FTSE 100 technology group will use his remaining time with the board to find his successor."I feel it is time for me to take on new challenges and develop my career," Turner said."I have enjoyed my five years with Smiths and I thank [...] all my colleagues at Smiths for their understanding and support." Shares in the company had risen 0.61% to 1,159p by 08:26.
