Seeing Machines, an AIM-listed company that develops intervention sensing technologies and services, announced that Caterpillar Safety Services, in conjunction with major Cat dealers, has recently booked "significant" DSS sales in the Australian and Canadian markets.This included a deal to supply DSS solution to the Kearl oil sands project in Alberta, one of Canada's highest-quality oil sands deposits with an estimated 4.6bn barrels of recoverable bitumen resource.Together with Finning International, the company has been contracted to implement a DSS solution across a 47 haul truck fleet.Chief exectutive officer Ken Kroeger said: "It's great to see the investment that Seeing Machines and Caterpillar have made begin to deliver returns for both parties and for the dealer network."The next phases of the relationship will introduce another level of integration between our companies and greatly expand the markets for our technology."
