Petrofac wins Qatari order

Petrofac has won a contract worth more than $600m from long-standing customer Qatar Petroleum.The oil and gas facilities service provider will undertake the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of gas sweetening facilities in Qatar's Messaieed and Dukhan industrial districts.Work on the projects is due to start soon and is expected to last for no more than 38 months.'The award of this contract serves to further reinforce Petrofac's commitment to the Qatari market, and again highlights our continued competitiveness in the Middle East,' said Petrofac's chief operating officer, Maroun Semaan.
