Persimmon appoints new non-executive director

Rachel Kentleton has been appointed as Persimmon's non-executive director, the housebuilding group said on Wednesday.In a short statement, the FTSE 250 group said Kentleton, who has held investor relations and finance roles at Unilever, Natwest, Diageo and SABMiller before joining easyJet, where she's currently a director for trategy and implementation, will begin her new role from 24 June."We are delighted to welcome Rachel to the board," said group chairman Nicholas Wrigley."Her strategic, investor relations and financial experience will add to the balance of skills and experience of our non-executive directors, which will be of great benefit to Persimmon as we continue to develop our business."Persimmon shares were down 1.03% to 2,009.00p at 09:58 on Wednesday.
