Obama Family To Travel To Florida's Gulf Coast In August

Favole Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--President Barack Obama and his family will travel in August to Florida's Gulf Coast, which has had oil from BP Plc's (BP, BP.LN) Gulf of Mexico spill wash onshore. It's unclear where on Florida's coast the family will visit, but they will be traveling there on the weekend of Aug. 14, according to a White House press release. The announcement comes as a cap on the mile-deep well in the Gulf coast appears to be stopping oil from leaking to the surface. Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have traveled to the Gulf to survey the disaster. It will be the first time the two, and their daughters, travel to the region together since the BP oil spill began in April. -By Jared A.
