Multinational electricity group National Grid announced the appointment of Therese Esperdy, JP Morgan's co-Head of Banking in Asia Pacific, as a non-executive director effective today.She will also be joining the finance and nominations committee and is anticipated to become Chairman of the former when her predecessor steps down later in the year.Esperdy was the Global Head of Debt Capital Markets at JP Morgan and prior to that Head of US Debt Capital Markets. Peter Gershon, Chairman, said: "Therese's appointment completes a significant transition of the board over the last three years. We have successfully renewed the membership and key roles to bring a diverse range of skills and experience to our board.
