2248 GMT [Dow Jones] Vodafone NZ lost 25,000 mobile customers over three months to June 30, says parent company Vodafone Group (VOD.LN). Loss saw Vodafone lose 34,900 prepaid customers, but gained around 10,000 on account mobile users. Says with 2degrees entry to market a year ago plus Telecom, Vodafone offering wholesale services to raft of mobile providers, NZ market has changed dramatically over past 12 months. Goldman Sachs JBWere broker Peter Sigley said most of move in prepaid users was probably across to 2degrees. Adds "politically it's quite good to see a competitive market so the read through if anything for Telecom (TEL.NZ) is probably okay." Telecom stock last +0.5% at NZ$1.97. (
