MARKET TALK: Verizon, Apple Still Have Some Talking To Do

9:52 (Dow Jones) The iPhone-to-Verizon Wireless rumors have popped up. Again. UBS says there remains the question of whether Verizon Wireless and Apple (AAPL) can come to a commercial agreement. Firm adds the two could not come to a deal for the iPad. The speculation will have little impact on AAPL, firm says, since most of the iPhone purchases are coming from existing customers. Research in Motion (RIMM) and Motorola (MOT) also face potential headwinds if the iPhone comes over to Verizon Wireless, but both RIMM and MOT have been diversifying into other carriers, firm says.
