Lookers director sells 10m shares for £15.5m

A non-executive director at Lookers sold 10m shares in the car dealership chain on Monday for an individual price of 155p.The shares were sold from one of the companies that represent a proportion of Tony Bramall's family interests.Bramall, who joined the company in 2006, raised £15.5m in the transaction. The family holds now 63,487m remaining shares, which represent 16.15% of the existing issued share capital.Lookers said in a statement that it has been informed that the sale "does not alter the continuing support for Lookers by the Bramall family who believe that the company will continue the excellent growth it has shown over the past few years".The group reported in the beggining of the month an increase of 23% to £3.04bn in revenues for the full year.
