Global stock markets are enjoying a positive feedback loop at the moment, with UK equities set to rise this morning following Wall Street's strong showig overnight. City sources predict the FTSE 100 will open 56 points up from yesterday's close of 5,338. Industrial printing firm Domino Printing Sciences said that with 10 months of the financial year completed, results have been in line with expectations, with sales up 4% on the corresponding period of last year. However, demand levels for new equipment in Western Europe and North America have been subdued, especially since the beginning of August, and are expected to remain so for the balance of the year. Exillon Energy, an independent oil producer with assets in two oil-rich regions of northern Russia, said that drilling on well EWS I - 44 successfully found oil on the south-eastern part of the East EWS I field.Merchant bank Close Brothers is to sell its 49.9% stake in Mako Global Derivatives Executive LLP for $40m by means of a phased management buy-out.
