IDOX, a supplier of document management solutions to the public sector, has won a five-year contract to manage the Information Service of the Greater London Authority (GLA).The contract, worth £0.8m, began in January 2012 and will focus on delivery of the GLA's intelligence function. IDOX will provide an enquiry service providing information on policy issues, a remote loans/document delivery service, training to strengthen information literacy and access to social and urban affairs databases. IDOX will also handle the purchase and provision of journals, e-journals and related resources, and the provision of electronic information bulletins. IDOX Chief Executive Officer Richard Kellett-Clarke said: "We are already working with a number of other public sector bodies to aid their decision making processes by ensuring their staff have ready access to their internal experience, knowledge and research which is tracked, and enhanced, by our specialist Information Service."
