Hiscox names Desaulle Europe MD

Specialist insurer Hiscox has named Pierre-Olivier Desaulle, 45, as managing director of Hiscox Europe from 1 June 2009. Desaulle has been the managing director of Hiscox France since 2000, said Hiscox in Tuesday's company statement. Commenting on the appointment Hiscox chief executive Bronek Masojada said, "Pierre-Olivier has shown great leadership during his tenure at the helm of our French business. I am confident his experience and excellent client relationships will help the European division to continue to grow." Desaulle added: "The opportunity that lies ahead of us in Europe is tremendous... we are ideally positioned."
