Engineering and construction group Kentz Corporation became the third biggest faller despite revealing that revenues and profits were "marginally" ahead of consensus expectations in 2011. The firm did reveal however that long-standing Chief Executive Hugh O'Donnell is to be replaced by Chief Operating Officer Christian Brown at the start of February, which may have unsettled investors.Great Portland Estates was also falling, although the day has brought positive news for the company; the Great Ropemaker Partnership, the joint venture between property company Great Portland Estates and Ropemaker Properties, said publishing group UBM has signed up to be a tenant at its 240 Blackfriars Road property in London.UBM has taken 105,649 square feet (sq. ft.) of the property. Construction of the building is due to start this month with completion scheduled for March 2014. Kesa Electricals was also falling after Nomura cut its target price on the stock from 120p to 90p, and UBS cut its target from 90p to 75p. Both retained a neutral rating.Close Brothers was edging higher after reporting a mixed performance. The Banking division did much of the heavy lifting at the financial services and investment management firm in the second half of 2011, while its Securities division saw tough market conditions.
