Four Persimmon directors sell shares

Several directors at Persimmon sold some of their shares in the housebuilding group.The company said the four directors, including finance director Mike Killoran and chief executive Jeff Fairburn, sold the shares to settle tax liabilities on their recent exercise of share options.In total, the directors sold 23,533 shares for a price of 1,694.49p each.The group reported last month a good set of full-year results with revenues up 23% to £2.6bn. 2015 was also said to have started solidly, with the private sales rate per site 5% stronger than the year before during the first eight weeks."Despite some uncertainty arising from the General Election in May, the ongoing gradual improvement in the UK economy and increasing mortgage lender support provides a supportive backdrop for the new homes market," said chairman Nicholas Wrigley.
