Digital Barriers directors follow-up on agreement to buy recently placed shares

A number of directors of Digitial Barriers, a provider of surveillance technologies to international homeland and defence markets, have purchased shares in the company, as agreed last month as part of a placing 7.17m new ordinary shares at 145p per share. Chairman Tom Black and Managing Director Colin Evans each purchased 68,965 shares for £99,999, taking their stakes in the group to 3.96m and 574,590 shares, respectively. A further 96,549 shares were acquired between four directors, including Financial Director Nocholas Holgate and Executive Director Zak Doffman. The purchases are part of the company's plan to raise £10m (after expenses) to be used by the company to finance the acquisition of a fourth core technology, which is currently in advanced discussions. The company also plans to use the funds to further its stated strategy, which is "to create a company focused on the provision of specialist products and services to the international homeland security market".
