Dialight cheers disconnect switch orders

LED technology specialist Dialight gained on news that two major North American metering companies have ordered more than 100,000 combined units of its PowerPulse 200-amp disconnect/reconnect load switch with sales totalling almost $3m.This order is in support of the United States Advanced Meter Infrastructure Initiative to introduce 'smart' metering for the 'smart grid'. The group said shipments are expected to be completed in the second half of this year and are only the start of the conversion of more than 100 million domestic electricity meters in the United States."These orders further establish Dialight's strong position to service this emerging market of which we expect to command a significant share," said chief executive Roy Burton.
