Cohort said its subsidiary SEA had won a 11m pound contract with BAE Systems to provide two external communications systems for the Royal Navy's nuclear-power Astute submarine programme.The communication systems relay everything from family messages for the crew to critical mission orders. It is intended that they will be installed in Astute Boat 6 which is called HMS Agamemnon and unnamed boat 7. Cohort said: "The contract builds on the work already under way to provide the same system for Boat 3 (Artful), 4 (Audacious) and 5 (Anson)."SEA is to work with its partners Aish Technologies, Selex ES and Thales UK to deliver the systems.Shares in Cohort were up 3.6% at 173.5p at 09:44 on Tuesday.TB
