Centrica appoints new CFO

(ShareCast News) - Jeff Bell has been appointed as Centrica's new chief financial officer (CFO), the energy company confirmed on Wednesday.Bell, who was appointed as interim CFO on 1 September 2014, following the departure of Nick Luff, will step into his new role on 1 August, the owner of British Gas said in a statement."Since I joined the company in January this year, I have been very impressed by Jeff's capability," said group chief executive Iain Conn."His leadership of the finance function and his considerable expertise has been instrumental in implementing the improved financial resilience of the company since the beginning of the year."Centrica shares were up 0.11% to 271.70p at 0930 BST on Wednesday.
