Carillion has been selected as preferred bidder for a 200m support services contract with Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. If the company wins the contract, it will provide services including fabric maintenance, mechanical and electrical engineering, catering, cleaning, security, logistics, patient movements, waste management and the operation of the switchboard and helpdesk functions. The five-year contract includes an option to extend by three years, subject to a satisfactory performance. A decision will be made by April 7th after which Carillion is anticipated to begin services at NUH in June.
