Avocet Mining: Edey To Become Chairman On Sept 15

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Avocet Mining PLC (AVM.LN), a gold mining company, said Friday Russell Philip Edey was on Thursday appointed to the Board as a Non-executive Director and Chairman-elect. MAIN FACTS: -It is intended that Edey will be appointed Chairman on Sep. 15, 2010. -Edey retired as Chairman of AngloGold Ashanti Ltd.
