Arun Sarin May Be Approached To Head Bharat Sanchar Nigam-Report

MUMBAI (Dow Jones)--Arun Sarin, the former chief executive of Vodafone Plc (VOD.LN), may be approached to head the state-run telecommunication firm Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL.YY), the Business Line reported Saturday, citing unnamed government sources. The firm is in discussions with various candidates, including Arun Sarin and a final decision is yet to be taken, the report said. Current Chairman Kuldeep Goyal is scheduled to retire next month and as the selection process may not be completed by then, a company executive may be given the job in the interim, the report added.
