Aquarius Platinum has announced the appointment of Sir Nigel Rudd as its chairman designate ahead of the departure of incumbent chairman Nicholas Sibley in February next year.Rudd will take up the position at the start of November before taking the full role at the beginning of March.He is currently the chairman of Heathrow Airport, BBA Aviation and the Business Growth Fund.Sibley said: "Having been a non-executive director of Aquarius for 15 years and chairman since 2002 it is time for me to step down. I am delighted that Sir Nigel has accepted the board's invitation [and] I can think of no better person to take my place as chairman and nobody whom I would be happier to see in it."He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in a wide range of business particularly in Southern Africa and I am sure that he will make a great contribution to the ongoing growth and success of the company."
