Centaur Media, the publishing and events group behind titles such as Marketing Week, hailed a recovery in advertising markets as it returned to profit.The company posted an adjusted pre-tax profit of £5.2m in the six months to June 30, against a loss of £1.2m over the same period the previous year, as revenues jumped to £36m from £23.9m.The recovery was led by advertising revenues which were up by 11%, Centaur said.'I am pleased to report that Centaur revenues returned to growth in the second half and that recovery is continuing into the new financial year,' said chief executive Geoff Wilmot.Over the full-year Centaur's adjusted pre-tax profits fell to £4 m from £4.4m, on revenues that fell to £59.9m from £66.3m. All the same the full-year dividend was lifted by 10% to 1.7p.
