Action Hotels opens first Premier Inn in UAE

(ShareCast News) - Action Hotels has opened its first hotel in the United Arab Emirates in partnership with Premier Inn.It said the hotel, which opened on Wednesday in the centre of Sharjah, has 168 rooms."Following a delay in its opening due to the resolution of power and snagging issues the hotel is now fully operational," said the company, adding that early business enquiries are encouraging.Chief executive officer Alain Debare said: "We are confident in the hotel's future success. Sharjah is well positioned for both leisure and business travel and is a hub of culture and activity, having been named Arab Tourism Capital for 2015."Action Hotels said its track record of early operational profitability sees most hotels breaking even within their first three months and it expects Premier Inn Sharjah to follow this trend.At 1108 BST, Action Hotels shares were down 3.3% at 55.10p.
