YouGov gets new guv

YouGov, the online market research firm, has announced the chief executive officer (CEO) of its American division is to be made "Chief Innovations Officer".Doug Rivers has worked with YouGov since it acquired his firm Polimetrix in 2007. He will now lead the development of key data products and their exploitation across the company.He will be replaced as American CEO by Doss Struse, another entrepreneur who's business, Definitive Insights, was snapped up by YouGov in April of this year.The changes in management were revealed in a trading update in which YouGov also said business is "...in line with the board's expectations."Stephan Shakespeare, chief executive, commented:"We have delivered on our objectives during the last year and are well positioned for the future. Today's appointments will further strengthen our Group management team.  Doug's focus on innovation will enable us to increase our share of revenue from scalable products, new methodologies and advanced analytics."YouGov's shares were up 1.5% in early trading.BS
