AIM-listed Xtract Energy has appointed Joel Silberstein as its Chief Financial Officer. The group said that Silberstein was a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years' experience in the area of financial accounting and reporting, primarily in the mining industry. After completing his training at Mazars in Cape Town, Silberstein held the position of Group Controller and Vice President Finance of European Goldfields until the company was acquired by Eldorado Gold in February 2012.
