In a day of few significant deals, the Chief Financial Officer of oil focused Xcite Energy has significantly increased his stake in the group with the purchase of 38,000 shares. Andrew Fairclough, who took up his role in February, now holds 53,000 shares following the 67p-a-share transaction. A further 40,000 shares were acquired by non-executive director Henry Wilson, who paid the slightly lower price of 66.83p. The deal marks his only stake in the AIM-listed company. The purchases come just a few days after the company revealed it had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aibel AS. Under the agreement, the two will work towards the engineering, procurement and construction of the ACE platform in the Bentley field. Top Director BuysXcite Energy Ltd.
