Workspace wins planning permission for second phase of Wandsworth project

Workspace Group, the London-based property development company, has secured further planning permission for the second phase of its mixed use development in Wandsworth. The new scheme, a 20-storey Business Centre, comprises 77 apartments, 3,000 square foot of retail and restaurant use and 15,000 square foot of new business space. The second phase will increase the Business Centre to 70,000 square foot, meaning it will be able to house more than 120 businesses. The first phase of the Business Centre is expected to open in December this year. Chief Executive Officer Jamie Hopkins said: "This development will not only benefit fast growing businesses, helping to mitigate the high demand for office space, but also the wider community." He added: "The redevelopment will also provide a significant boost to both the capital value and rental income of the site and demonstrates our ability to add significant value through asset management."NR
