Engineering giant Wood Group has scored a contract with Esso Australia, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, for works on Gippsland Basin projects in Victoria, Australia.The company will provide engineering, procurement and construction services to support the Gippsland Basin, a joint venture between operator ExxonMobil and BHP Billiton.Projects within the Gippsland Basin that the group will provide services to include offshore facilities in the Bass Strait and onshore facilities at Longford Gas Plant, Long Island Point and Barry's Beach Marine Terminal in Victoria.Andrew Stewart, Managing Director for Wood Group PSN (WPSN) Australia and Asia Pacific said: "We have been supporting Esso Australia in the Bass Strait for 17 years and we are delighted to continue our relationship.
