Wood Group said it has extended one of its longest running projects in the North Sea.The company, which provides engineering and construction services to the oil and gas sector, has lengthened its existing contract with ConocoPhillips for another year for $60m.Wood Group will continue to provide operations and maintenance services, and facilities modifications services to ConocoPhillip's 50 offshore assets in the Southern and Central North Sea and the onshore Theddlethrope gas terminal in Lincolnshire. The contract will be supported by 150 onshore and 280 offshore people in the UK.It represents one of Wood Group's longest running and most complex projects, spread across 50 manned and unmanned facilities in the North Sea. ConocoPhillips first awarded the contract in 1992.Dave Stewart, UK managing director for Wood Group said: "We are proud to have worked with ConocoPhillips for more than 20 years and continue this long-term relationship.
