Oil services supplier John Wood Group has extended a deal to provide engineering, buying and construction services to a rig off the coast of Canada.Wood said its PSN division had agreed a new multi-million dollar, five-year contract with Hibernia Management & Development Company to supply the Hibernia platform off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador.Since the first production of oil in 1997, Wood has been the incumbent contractor for the Hibernia services and the contract is still a cornerstone of PSN's business in the region, Wood said. Hibernia was the first producing field off Canada's east coast.Wood Group PSN Canada's president Tim O'Leary said: "The extension of our contract to provide services for the Hibernia platform is evidence of the continued high level of service we have demonstrated."
