Wm Morrison names Hodgson Commercial Director

Wm Morrison has appointed Waitrose's Richard Hodgson as commercial director.Prior to his role as commercial director at Waitrose, Hodgson, 40, spent 10 years at Asda, most recently as Brand and Marketing Director. Morrisons also announced trading director Martyn Jones will move into a new role as corporate services director. "The role will focus on the increasingly important areas of Government Affairs, Corporate Responsibility, Public Relations and Food Safety," said Britain's fourth largest supermarket."Martyn will take up the new position from September 2010 at which time he will also step down from the Morrisons board, once he has completed a smooth transition of his Trading Director responsibilities."
