Winkworth appoints Andrew Nicol as CFO

(ShareCast News) - Real estate franchisor M Winkworth has announced the appointment of Andrew Nicol as chief financial officer with immediate effect.A qualified chartered accountant, Nicol has worked in the corporate sector and in consultancy, notably with The Boston Consultancy Group and most recently Oxera Consulting.In his new role at Winkworth, he will be responsible for the company's financial reporting and for helping to further evolve the group's platform and infrastructure.Chief executive officer Dominic Agace said: "We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the company at a time when the market place presents considerable opportunities. His experience of both working in finance at a senior level and of structuring deals will mark a new step for Winkworth as we build on the leading market position we have already achieved."At 1300 BST, the shares were up 2% to 112.75p.
