Retailer WH Smith confirmed that its annual results, out in October, will be in line with market expectations.The consensus, according to Thomson Reuters, is for £112.7m profit before tax. In a short trading update prior to the 31 August end of its financial year, the FTSE 250 group said that its travel business continued its "good performance" and remained on track with its programme to add to its 701 stores both in the UK and internationally.In the High Street business the focus on gross margin gains and tight cost control had also continued to deliver a "good performance"."Both businesses remain highly cash generative," the company added.Preliminary results will released on 16 October.
