Week ahead: Property stocks, ICAP, Lonmin, Capita

Property companies come into focus next week, with British Land and Land Securities releasing interim figures. Broker Charles Stanley expects British Land which recently announced the part disposal of its Broadgate property assets in the City of London, to report a relatively cheery outlook statement on the decline of its portfolio valuation on Tuesday.Fellow real estate giant Land Securities reports results the following day. Like British Land it has been disposing of assets, selling its stake in the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham. The firm is still repaying debt but says it has 'financial firepower' to take advantage of market opportunities, so investors will be looking for any statements of intentions in this area.Shares in ICAP took a knock this week when fellow inter-dealer broker Tullett Prebon said revenue fell 9% to £302m during the past four months. They may see more volatility next week when ICAP itself reports interim results on Tuesday.Platinum miner Lonmin is releasing full-year results on Monday. Broker Panmure Gordon will be looking out for what the company says in relation to its sales guidance of 700koz of the precious metal in 2010.Panmure thinks that outsource group Capita, whose diverse activities including helping run London's congestion charging scheme and administering teachers' pensions, to report that organic growth has fallen from 8% delivered in the first half of 2009 to about 5% to 6%.On the economic front, Howard Archer, chief UK and European economist of the analyst group IHS Global Insight, said consumer price inflation data for October on Tuesday are likely to show a marked spike up in the annual rate to 1.6% from a five-year low of 1.1% in September.
