Consumer spending on products for the home is keeping trading positive at luxury interior furnishing group Walker Greenbank.Walker, whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co, Harlequin, Zoffany, Scion and Anthology, said this financial year had begun well, trading was still positive and UK sales were doing particularly well.Chairman Terry Stannard said: "In the first five-and-a-half months of the current year, brand sales overall are up 6% in reportable currency compared with the same period last year. In the UK, our largest market, brand sales are up 10.3%. Our overseas brand sales are down 0.1% in reportable currency but up 4.7% in constant currency."Manufacturing continues to perform well and it is pleasing to note that our new wallpaper brand Anthology has been very well received."We remain confident of the outlook for the remainder of the year."Shares in Walker Greenbank had risen 3.5p or 1.77% by 10:06 in London.
